Infinite Possibilities - Disney Infinity 2.0 Review for XBOX ONE

Disney Infinity Version 2.0 takes what the first version gave us with endless possibilities, creative freedom, many characters and delivers another quality product. Disney AND Marvel? What a combination!

I ended up going for the Marvel Starter Pack which includes the Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow figures along with the Infinity base, two power discs and the marvel story cube. The two power discs included unlock different worlds of horde based fighting/missions which is a nice extra to have if you are complete the story missions or aren't in the mood for the Toy Box mode.

Disney Infinity 2.0 certainly crams in a lot of content to truly make this game an infinite amount of possibilities. Each mission in the included game disc revolves around Loki and how he has taken over New York City. Your job is to stop him and do it before he freezes the city and anyone in it. I really enjoyed how if you die in the game, you can just load up another figure on the base and you continue on until the previous character is "healed".

If you focus on just the set missions and leveling up your character(s) and don't look at playing in the Toy Box or anything else you can look at about 12-15 hours of game play. Once you look to play in the Toy Box or exploring the city for collectible boxes you add another 10 hours.

I love collecting and my love continued on with this game as I picked up more figures and additional story missions with the Spider man pack; however, the additional figures aren't needed for the complete 1000G in achievements. The total amount of time for the additional Spider man missions were about 12 hours as well. If you keep adding to your game, your time continues to increase and in more ways than one. Once you add another figure you will want to play with that character to reach the level 20 mark and be able to unlock all of their attributes. It truly is endless.

In Toy Box you can create anything your heart desires. With all of the items from the Toy Box mode in Disney Infinity 1.0 included in 2.0 your worlds grow and continue to evolve. Another component they kept from 1.0 was the Community Toy Box, and using this you can look online for already previously created worlds to download and play in.

The achievement list manages to cover all the basis for level progression, feature completions, enemies defeated and character progression. Its a pretty easy and uneventful list but 1000G is attainable within a 20 hour mark.

Now let the rumors begin for a Disney Infinity 3.0 starring Star Wars characters...
