Games With Gold for April

On April 1st Microsoft wasn't pulling off an April Fool's joke. Seemed very much like a joke but they were being very generous and provided us with double the amount of  free games if you have an XBOX Live Gold Membership.

XBOX One received Pool Nation FX and Child of Light and XBOX 360 got Terraria and Gears of War Judgement. On April 16, we will receive two additional games for XBOX 360, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel. April is looking like a great month to be an XBOX Live Gold Member.

Pool Nation FX - A pool simulator, with better graphics, physics and soundtrack than any other pool game. Pool Nation FX comes with a host of features including practice mode, spectate mode, share, edit, create trick shot, league play, online play and very intelligent AI.

Child of Light - You play a girl named Aurora, who was stolen from her home. Your quest in this role-playing game is to return home and also bring back the sun, stars and the moon from the Queen of the Night. The game has a very similar presentation to Limbo and the Final Fantasy series.

Terraria - In this action/adventure game you construct, combat and explore through the open-ended 2D sandbox with three simple tools, a pickaxe for mining, an axe for woodcutting and for combat you have a sword. Collect coins, life crystals, fruit, upgrade your character/items and have fun exploring.

Gears of War Judgement - This is the fourth game in the Gears of War franchise; however, Judgement is the prequel and features Damon Baird and Augustus Cole as the protagonists. You progress through the story playing as a different member of the squad as you move forward through the story. The online play isn't as solid as was the first three Gears of War games but this is still a fun title and a good story especially for free with your XBOX Live Gold Membership.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag -Black Flag is the sixth installment in the Assassin's Creed Franchise but the sequel to Assassin's Creed III. The story is set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy in the 18th Century. Beautiful scenery surrounds you in Havana, Nassau, Kingston, parts of Florida and Mexico as you try to solve a conspiracy within the British and Spanish Empires. Another great Assassin's Creed game and offered on April 16 to April 30 for free with a Gold Membership.

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel - This is the third game in the franchise and will be given out on April 16 with an XBOX Live Gold Membership. In Army of Two you are essentially and army of two men that were recruited for the T.W.O (Tactical Worldwide Operations) and your mission is to rescue many hostages in a cartel compound as you can. During your operation you only find one hostage, Fiona. You save Fiona, and five years later are hired by a Mexican politician to bring down a nasty leader of a gang. If you liked the other Army of Two games in the series this is a must play. If you have never tried out the series I highly recommend it.

Enjoy the Double Games with Gold Month! Two days into it I know I am.

Tales from the Borderlands Episode 1: Zer0 Sum (Xbox One) Review

Telltale Games has brought us such incredible games with the storytelling, character development and decision making bringing new life and perspective to such franchises as The Walking Dead, Fables (A Wolf Among Us), Game of Thrones and now with Tales from the Borderlands (Borderlands). Introduction into the episodic adventure speaks to the lesser known characters of the Borderlands games. As we are brought to the vivid world of Pandora, we get put into the story of Rhys, our protagonist who was recently demoted from the Hyperion Corp and his accountant friend Vaughn. Both are upset with their boss and decide to steal millions of dollars from the company and use it to buy a Vault Key, which is a means of discovering alien technology on Pandora. Our story also continues with a pair of sisters, Sasha and Fiona, who do anything to live on Pandora and as our stories progress, the player will take turns controlling Rhys and Fiona.  A large cast of suppo...
