Here at Infinite Reviews, we try to provide a large variety of reviews and this time I step away from a video game review to talk a little about the Candy Claw Machine and share a video from our YouTube channel - Kouli Kollector which is hosted by my son.
The Candy Claw Machine comes equipped with twenty fake coins to activate the claw over and over again before having to retrieve them from the storage underneath. It also comes complete with circus music, two stickers displaying the words Candy Claw and a 60 second timer. The Candy Claw Machine operates on three D batteries and we put in 10 hours of play time before noticing the need to replace the batteries soon.
The casing itself is red and contains an area in the roof to add candy, toys or whatever you desire to try and pull out of the machine. Just make sure you don't fill it too much or you will never be able to grab your goodies.
Once you insert a coin into the machine, it activates the 60 second timer and the motion of the claw to begin movement. Using the three controls (forward/backward, left/right and up/down) you can utilize the claw to retrieve that item that your eye is set on. If you are running out of time, the music speeds up and for the little ones playing, I noticed a panic in them when the timer sped up. When you grab the item, moving it over to the exit bin and dropping it in allows you to grab the prize. This also activates the sensor to send through a cheer soundbit ending your turn.
This toy is a lot of fun and if you are looking for a good new idea for a birthday party this is highly recommended. The Candy Claw is available at Showcase Canada Stores within Canada and another version of the machine is available at Toys r Us ranging between $30 to $50.
Amazon.com also sells the machine if you are looking for the item outside of Canada and depending on the version you are looking at, the price point is about $30 to $60.
