Telltale
Games returns to bring the Marvel hit Guardians of the Galaxy staring our favorite galactic heroes Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The release of the latest TellTale Games title Guardians of the Galaxy came just in time for the theatrical release of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Episode One - Tangled Up In The Blue, quickly brings the player back to the decision making, action packed new series with enough modifications in control selection and graphics
updates to make it feel like it came out a year after The Walking Dead but in actuality it only came out a few months after.
Right off the bat, we get the killer soundtrack that we are known to hear from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies as we start off with some rocking tunes and Peter Quill getting his gear on as Star Lord gets an incoming transmission and agrees to help protect the group from Thanos. Star Lord's ship is under attack as we get to the opening credits, and as the ship is under attack we get to listen to more tunes. The user starts off as Star-Lord but throughout the Episode we get to try out the action with all of the Guardians of the Galaxy. As the ship is under attack Star-Lord gets accustomed to the controls as you are made to use the Right Trigger and the X button and we're off!
Credits come up and we see Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy in their ship flipped upside down. The Title Screen Episode One - Tangled Up In The Blue displays and this new game title already feels like we are watching a Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
Controls/New Features
New controls have been introduced in The Guardians of the Galaxy. The D-Pad for Star-Lord gives him the ability to be able to fly. Hitting the LT (Left Trigger) will provide you a way to answer and and reach out on your communicator. Along with those additions we can now more faster with the RT (Right Trigger). Controls are more advanced and a little more difficult than in previous TellTale Games Titles as we have fighting sequences with multi button selections and you need to be quick on your feet or you will get beaten up.The obvious new feature this time around is the ability for the user in control will also from time to time have control of all of the Guardians of the Galaxy and not just Star Lord. In previous TellTale Games titles we only controlled one primary character unless it was a flashback sequence as in The Walking Dead.
Audio/Visuals
