As Big Brother 19 wrapped up this season with the ever so popular two hour Season Finale, last night we witnessed one of the most bitter jury results in Big Brother history.
For a week now, Paul and Josh were talking to the cameras throughout the days leading up to Finale Night and saying they would take each other as it was the best move for their games, respectfully.
On Finale Night, we got to see Paul taking the first HOH (Head of Household) competition which was filled with rainbows, glitter and lots of Unicorn farts. Yes, that's not a typo. The second HOH competition was an endurance and mental competition which was won by Josh leading up to the final HOH which is usually a mental competition set up of questions about the jury members.
As we witnessed Josh take the final competition which was shocking onto its own accord, he also would then eliminate Christmas who has been Josh's ride or die all season and elect to bring the mastermind of BB19, Paul. It was in the bag for Paul, or so he though. This season there was only a little bit of Jury to go with that salt. It was the saltiest, most bitter jury in recent memory and the questions to come for Paul and Josh were not going to be easy.
The voting came down as follows...
Christmas votes for Paul
Kevin votes for Paul
Alex votes for Josh
Raven votes for Paul
Jason votes for Josh
Matt votes for Paul
Mark votes for Josh
Elena votes for Josh
With the votes tied at four each, the deciding vote was coming from arch rival to both men, Cody.
Cody votes for JOSH
Paul's face said it all as tears ran down both his face and Josh's. Paul was shocked to look over to Josh, the now Winner of Big Brother 19 and face the fact that Paul had now lost two seasons in a row in the final two spot, to a score of 5-4.
Having a bitter jury is part of the game and jury management is always an afterthought on those individuals thinking they played an incredible game. Sure, social skills and competition wins can get you so far, but how did you treat that jury member on their way out? It should always be a thought and a preparation for your end game.
As the Finale of Big Brother 19 came to an end, we were greeted to a solid smirk by Cody as he won America's Favorite Player in the final prize of the night.
Now as winter approaches we look forward to Celebrity Big Brother and of course Big Brother Canada.
