In the early part of summer 2014, EA announced a paid membership service that would allow subscribers to receive discounts on EA titles, play full versions of games on a timed limit and download full games from their vault. All this on XBOX One for $4.99 a month or the better value of $29.99 for the year. We are now one week away from December 1st and I take a look back at the value of EA Access after using it for over three months. The service launched in the second week of August with four titles immediately available for download through the vault. NFL Madden 25, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Peggle 2. I still haven't touched Battlefield 4 but I have spent many hours playing Madden, FIFA and Peggle 2. EA Access put up Need for Speed Rivals the following month in their vault along with a six hour full game trial for NHL 15 and Madden 15. An outbreak has occurred in Sunset City. Panic runs through the streets and its up to you to help! Inside the can of an energy drink is a mutant virus and anyone who has had a sip of  it has been contaminated. The energy drink is called Overcharge Delirium XT and those that drink it are now known as OD. In the game it is up to you to kill as many OD in as many different and stylish ways while completing missions and collecting items scattered throughout Sunset City. The game rewards you for style points and combos as you grind rails, jump cars and wall ride your way to taking care of the OD. This game incorporates humor, creative weapons, big explosions, stunning colorful visuals, a variety of enemies and a lot of fun game play. Fifteen games into the 2014/2015 NHL Season and we are scratching our heads with the current standings and statistics. Starting out in the Western Conference , the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets all finished in three of the bottom four spots in 2013/2014; however, each of the three teams are currently sitting in the top eight positions, all with a playoff spot at the moment.These three Canadian teams are currently sitting on top of the last seasons playoff teams such as the San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars and last year's second overall ranked team, the Colorado Avalanche. This year's currently number one Western Conference team, the Nashville Predators, have a new coach and have changed their mentality quite a bit this year by adding several offensively gifted players rather than focusing purely on defense. Everything is awesome! Everything is cool when you're part of a team! I'm glad I got that verse thrown in this review. Welcome to The Lego Movie Video Game. A game entirely based on the movie. The movie was extremely popular with kids and adults as this game followed suit. The game delivers additional hilarious one liners that you would expect after watching the movie. If you haven't seen the movie, most of the game will still be funny to you. We start off the game through an opening scene with a clip from the movie and then kick it off into the level as you start with Virtuvius, William Shakespeare and Cleopatra. The Lego Movie Video Game is like all other Lego Series Video games, in that, it guides you through the level. This game can be played by anyone over the age of ten and they will understand what to do and how to do it. Disney Infinity Version 2.0 takes what the first version gave us with endless possibilities, creative freedom, many characters and delivers another quality product. Disney AND Marvel? What a combination! I ended up going for the Marvel Starter Pack which includes the Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow figures along with the Infinity base, two power discs and the marvel story cube. The two power discs included unlock different worlds of horde based fighting/missions which is a nice extra to have if you are complete the story missions or aren't in the mood for the Toy Box mode. Disney Infinity 2.0 certainly crams in a lot of content to truly make this game an infinite amount of possibilities. Each mission in the included game disc revolves around Loki and how he has taken over New York City. Your job is to stop him and do it before he freezes the city and anyone in it. NHL 07, NHL 08, NHL 09, NHL 10, NHL 11 Are the last of the EA Sports NHL Series I owned, although I have been keeping up with the games after NHL 11 to 14 on XBOX 360. Following a five year hiatus I decided to pick up the latest NHL game on the XBOX ONE. It wasn't available the previous year for whatever reason and with the increased amount of time EA had to work on it, I thought I was in for a treat. My first impression of the game play was that it was rushed together. EA had over a year to put together a strong sports game and it feels like they pulled the goalie on this one. The game is missing a lot of components. When I began with my Be a Pro in previous years I would start in the minor league system (Ontario Hockey League, American Hockey League) and work my way to the top to be drafted first overall. In NHL 15, your Be a Pro gets either randomly assigned to a team or you select a team. I do not see the fun in that! The online portion of NHL 15 isn't much...
